The girls haven't shifted over this time change quite so well as I had hoped, but it is getting better. On Sunday, our morning started at 0515 and today we were up to 0615. If you know me at all, you know I am NOT a morning person so this "waking up in the dark of the morning" stuff does not make me happy. Hopefully, we will make it back to our 0730 morning routine soon. I guess I can't be too upset, with the change to one nap during the day my girls now beg for bed by 1730. I tell myself everyday that I will go to bed early, but I never do. It is just so nice to have peace and quiet all to myself that I hate to sleep it away (-:
After an early start (for us) we headed to Winco to do some shopping, then briefly stopped by the church to say HI to Martin. By the time we got home the girls were sound asleep, so off to bed they went. Meanwhile, I cooked dinner (we eat our main meal in the afternoon, which Martin usually comes homes for). Indian was on the menu today...Indian Butter Chicken infused with a little Punjab Choley over Jasmine rice and Tandoori Naan on the side. Soooo yummy...can't wait for the leftovers tomorrow.
We had another lovely afternoon at the playground today. During these beautiful Fall days I have been "forcing" myself to abandon housework, laundry, etc. and get outdoors with the girls. I figure the rain will eventually come and we will be cooped up like little mice, so we better get out and get sun while we can.
Oh yeah...on our way back from the park I noticed the "Book Mobile" parked near the playground. I had seen it there plenty of times before but never paid it much attention. It is actually pretty cool...a little traveling public library. They have movies, books, magazines, etc..just like the library coming to you. I think we are definitely going to start taking advantage of this little treasure.
Ella and Quinn were both so excited about sliding that they tended to forget to sit on their bottoms and tried to run down the slide. We quickly moved to a slide where I could actually reach them at the top. Way to give you mother a heart attack girls!!
The girls are getting better at steps
Not surprisingly the water fountain was a HUGE draw!
